wow.. i just realized i have been taking the internet and the computer (in general) for granted. i didn't have any access with the outside world since tuesday, since my pc in the office was broken, so i was forced to let our tech support change its settings. i was going out of my mind trying to think of what to do for 8 hours. Argh.
this week was kinda hectic for me, though most of them are not work related. Let me start off:
Tuesday morning, Joyce sent me a text message that Mye's sister passed away that morning. I guess we were already expecting it to happen, since Ate Liza has been sick for a long time. But then again, when Joyce informed me that she died, i was still shocked; i felt pretty shaken up the whole day.
Wednesday, Valentine's Day. I met up with Terri, Lendi, and Rinna for a singles night out in Eastwood. I met Rinna for the first time that night, but she was so warm and friendly that we clicked the moment we sat down at Jack's Loft for dinner. There were TONS of people everywhere, so we decided to stay at Terri's house right after and have our dessert there. Videoke, wine, and cheesecake, are the best things in life, especially with good company. =) Went home around 12:30, making me cranky and sleepy the following morning.
Thursday night, i went to Taytay with Joyce to visit Mye and pay my respects for Ate Liza. It was the last night of the wake, so a lot of people were there to pray: her high school and college friends, neighbors, cousins.. They even had to close the street to accommodate everyone. Mye's family has accepted Ate Liza's passing since tuesday, so they were done with the grieving part when i got there. Once again, i got home late, 11:30, i think.
On top of everything else, i didn't have any computer most of the week. Imagine me all alone at the reception area, not doing anything. Staring at the blank monitor in front of me, calling my boss and admin asking if they want me to do something, walking around the office to keep me preoccupied.. hopefully i'll have access to my YM and YouTube and Friendster on Monday.
BTW, i got invited to a debut of one of my neighbors. How weird is that?? I'm already near mid-life crisis age (using Peper's words..hehe), and here i am, getting invited to 18th birthday celebrations. Happy Happy Birthday Kaye!! Sorry i can't come, though. Si papa na lang pupunta to represent our whole family. =)
