New Year

January, my favorite month. It's the new year. We can look forward to the year ahead, have our expectations set for the next 12 months; yet we mostly look back at how our past year has gone, realize our mistakes, and try to figure out what went wrong, etc.. If you're observant enough, notice how everyone feels so light, calm, and energetic all at the same time during this month? Probably due to this adrenaline rush from all the fireworks, media noche, and reunions every start of January.. Not to mention this month i'm gonna celebrate my birthday! Enough said. :o)

Lots of things happened the past year. Let me give you some highlights with what happened the past 12 months (if you're interested..hehe):

1. Had this argument with the officers from my previous employer. I still find it odd that they had to discuss with me my evaluation numerous times just to get what they want.

2. Resigned from Chinabank, the best decision i made so far.

3. Was able to give myself a break from all those regularizations, resignations, and nonsense interviews with applicants.

4. Had to go back to step 1: find a new job. It was a lot harder than i expected. Really (so if you guys currently have work, i'm telling you, you're one lucky person).

5. Visited my mom for a month, the highlight of the year. i only get to see my mom once every 3 years.

6. Started at Technistock a week after I came back from my vacation.

7. Was depressed as hell. It wasn't the suicidal type, but if you know me well enough, you wouldn't imagine me get depressed at all.

8. Became a ninang to my best friend's baby.

9. Experienced the worst skin problem. I know i shouldn't be writing this, but, heck, it was a highlight, okay?

10. Had to join a band so i didn't have to dance nor sing at Technistock's christmas party.

Hrmmm.. unlike my friend Mars, who claims to have the best post-college year last year, , mine was a mix of bitterness, happiness, depression; just a little bit of everything.

Like everyone else, i'm hoping this year would be a better year for me.

Happy New Year! :o)
